The National Human Resources Development and Employment Authority.

Tanmia is a specialized federal organization set up by a Presidential Decree in 1999 to undertake the following functions:

• Set up overall policies for development of National labour force.
• Conduct sustained labour market studies and analyses to support informed decision-making.
• Provide guidance and career counseling services for the national manpower.
• Follow up and assess the process of employment of National in the public and private sectors.
• Support small enterprises through the establishment of self-employment projects for Nationals.
• Develop programs for training and qualifying Nationals seeking employment in the public and private sectors.
• Coordinate and influence training and education programmes to meet labour market requirements.
